Thinking about the Alaska adventure

I think and read so much about Alaska that my wife asked if I will be bored when we finally get there. Hmmm, I don’t think so but I did put the entire stack away at least until the Sprinter is done.

A family member sent us this link, Finding the right fit for Alaskan tour, which is very informative about the ferries. I hope the link does not expire but if you can’t find it, put a comment here and I will try to update the link.

“Glacier Bay didn’t even exist when Capt. George Vancouver sailed past in 1794; the ice reached all the way to the waters of Icy Strait. Eighty-five years later, when John Muir “discovered” Glacier Bay, the glaciers had retreated 32 miles. They have since pulled back 25 miles more. Some glaciers (those in the Fairweather Range) are advancing, while others (those in the Chilkat Range) are shrinking.” - from the article and this shows me I still have a lot to learn!
