Big help in adventure planning

Going somewhere new this summer?  Got it “mapquested” and entered the address in the GPS, checked the maps and you’re all ready.

But wait, have you put the address in Google Earth? Google Earth lets you fly anywhere on Earth to view satellite imagery, maps, terrain, 3D buildings. If you haven’t tried it you really should! It is great for giving you a preview of freeway entries and exits and familiarizing you with the route - at least the end point.

For example, coming from the north towards the Golden Gate bridge there is an exit to take so you can view the bridge or walk across it. Problem is, it is the last exit. Miss it and you are on the bridge with no way of turning back. Using Google Earth you can zoom right in on the freeway, check the exit and when you get there, its like “deja vue again.”

Google Earth is one more tool for the camper to use to make the adventure successful.
