If you are in Waycross, Georgia

Okefenokee Swamp Park in Waycross, will have on display, Oscar. Oscar was a 14 foot, 1,000 pound alligator who had lived in the swamp for about 100 years.

Before old age caught up to him, Oscar had survived a shotgun blast to the face, three bullet wounds many broken bones and arthritis. His stomach contents will also go on display. They include a penny, a dog tag (I hope not a military dog tag), a plastic dog collar, pieces of plastic, rocks and figure this one out, the top section of a flag pole.

The Okefenokee is a 438,000-acre National Wildlife Refuge in southeastern Georgia that attracts 350,000 to 400,000 visitors a year. For fans of country music, it is also home of Miller’s Cave . . . you don’t want to go there.

Maybe I’ll add Oscar to my bucket list.
