Saturday night, Mt. Diablo State Park

Looking towards Dubin and Pleasanton. We decided to head up to Mt. Diable State Park for Saturday night. Partly because it was just time to go! And partly because I found out Mt. Diablo is on the budget hit list.

It is a great park, basically right in our backyard and takes about an hour to get to your campsite. We were lucky and got one of the last level sites.

Because of fire conditions, no campfires were allowed. It was a bit different not seeing and smelling smole from the other camps. There were a lot of Boy Scouts camping and I wondered what they did at night – no marshmellow’s, no smoores, no scary stories around the campfire. My wife keeps saying, “See we lived in the good old days!” Maybe she is right.

I saw an older Sprinter, painted totally in bed liner paint. Didn’t look too good to me and you know what Fernando said. “Remember, my friends. Saludos, it’s better to look good than to feel good.”

Also met some campers from Walnut Creek and told them all about the bus and Sprinters.

Good Saturday night.
