If your Sprinter came with the bi-xenon headlamps option, part of the Accessory Group then you have a gripe with Dodge. That headlamp package includes cornering lights. The Sprinter is shipped with these disconnected should they be illegal. The dealer is supposed to activate the turning lights but Dodge aka Chrysler Group LLC has never provided the dealers with a way to do this.
A standard equipment halogen or an optional equipment xenon (also known as bl-xenon or High Intensity Discharge/HID) front lamp unit is mounted to the front of each front fender panel on either side of the grille opening. Each halogen front lamp unit includes integral chambers for separate low and high beam headlamp bulbs, a park and turn signal bulb as well as a front side marker bulb. Each xenon front lamp unit includes a single xenon lighting element and an integral electromechanical shutter mechanism to provide both low and high beam headlamps, an electronic xenon headlamp module, and integral chambers for a park and turn signal bulb, a cornering lamp bulb and a front side marker bulb. The cornering (also known as static curve) illumination feature is delivered disabled due to regulatory requirements in some markets, but can be enabled by any dealer using a diagnostic scan tool. A headlamp leveling (also known as Headlamp Range Adjustment/HRA or LWR) actuator motor is also integral to each halogen or xenon front lamp unit.
Chrysler through their Dodge brand continues to offer this complete package although they know they cannot deliver. Even the 2009 Sprinter shown on the Dodge website has this option. http://www.dodge.com/en/2009/sprinter/
Sprinter dealers in Europe are able to activate this option as they have different computers than the ones issued to Dodge dealers by Chrysler.
I would like Chrysler provide a way for dealers to activate the lights we paid for. There are thousands who have this option. Sprinters sold by Roadtek, Winnebago, Sportsmobile plus the Dodge dealers who sell them.
