It’s the journey, not the destination that’s important

Head out on the highway. Searching for adventure.

On the road again. Just can’t wait to get on the road again.

It’s not that I simply like to drive; it’s much stronger than that. I am a gear-head who likes little else more than going somewhere in a car — passenger or driver, it really doesn’t matter, as long as my companion is either as besotted with the road as I am, or asleep.

For those with the addiction, it requires no particular explanation other than to drive, to go somewhere a long distance away. It doesn’t matter where or in what direction; it’s the journey, not the destination that’s important here.

Wow, Pat Craig sounds like a whole bunch like RV owners! If he ever gets behind the wheel of a  Sportsmobile he’ll never come back!

I think this is the feeling of many RV owner’s. I know it is mine. Getting there is what it is all about. For those who travel full time, you never get there. Lucky you!

The rest of us are lucky also though. Ready for the next road trip and adventure, our bus waits. Sometimes I think I can hear it idling – warming up, ready to go. And I’m ready too. Here we go!
