We headed east from Astoria towards Portland basically following the 
Columbia river. We passed lots of inlets with docks and boats. I would like to live near a river (with edible fish). Seems like it would be a good place. Note the pretty blue skies the day after fishing!
We came to Longview and that is a real interesting place. Looks very busy as ocean bound ships were loading lumber with lots of activity. The bridge there is fun too – I think that probably everybody likes bridges!
We wound our way through Portland. The Sprinter gets good mileage in Oregon where most of the time you are doing 50-55mph. Lots of 55mph 
even on the interstate. Portland is a pretty town but I don’t like the high rise condo’s. Those are some ugly buildings!
We stopped for the night at our favorite site in the Valley of the Rogues State Park and watched some deer for a while. Checked the fish and decided I should get some more ice tomorrow. Temperature was down about 10 from where it had been just 3 days ago.
Tomorrow about 350 miles and we will home. Presley will be glad to see his mom and I will be too!
