Coke’s Super Bowl ad shows a race across the desert with cowboys, showgirls, and outlanders, and arabs with camels. Warren David, the president of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, has said that the commercial was indeed racist.

Well David old boy, you see arab is not a race. That means referring to an arab can’t be racist. Like 1+1 can’t =3. Like a meatloaf can’t be a steak.

Using the term racist is the last refuge of a fruitloop who can think of nothing else to say. Was it stereotypical? Yes, and its probably not the best Super Bowl ad Coke has done but it was not racist. That’s like calling the showgirl’s glitter cannon an endorsement for gun’s. Or the outlanders an invitation to visit Australia.

And what about Ahab the Arab, the proclaimed sheik of the burning sand? Now there’s an Arab! Come on folks. We need to find our sense of humor again. Stop being whiners and wimps. And go vote for who you want to win the race at http://www.cokechase.com/ Maybe you can write in the Arab.
