The Charter of Hamas*

The Hamas Charter, formally known as the Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement, outlines the founding identity, stand, and aims of Hamas and was originally issued on August 18, 1988. The charter includes Hamas’s radical Islamic world view, which has basically not changed in the 18 years of its existence. The charter states that “There is no solution for the Palestinian problem except by Jihad”. It also states that “The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him”.

The 2017 version of the charter, issued by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal on May 1, 2017 in Doha, ncluded four departures from the 1988 charter.
1. Hamas accepted the establishment of a Palestinian state separate from Israel —although only provisionally.
2. Hamas claimed to reject the “persecution of any human being or the undermining of his or her rights on nationalist, religious or sectarian grounds”.
3. Article 7 states that “The Day of Judgment will not come about until Moslems fight Jews and kill them”.
4. Article 13 rejects any compromise, or peace, until Israel is destroyed.

They just don’t get it.

Gray walls stretch into the distance about an hour’s drive from the center of Shenyang in northeast China. Behind the barriers is Plant Lydia, a 15 billion yuan ($2.24 billion) factory built by BMW Brilliance, a joint venture between BMW and Brilliance China Automotive Holdings.

The massive structure represents an accelerated push into electric vehicles by BMW Group in China as EV specialists like Tesla and Nio eat into the country’s all-important luxury car market.

Missed chance. Anyone surprised?

During his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping Monday at the G-20, rather than discuss the origins of COVID-19 or fentanyl coming from China, Biden opted to restart dialogue on climate change instead. China is purposely producing fentanyl to kill Americans. You know it. I know it. And we continue to let them do it without even a peep coming from the White House.

Discuss climate change with China? In hopes of what? China currently consumes more than half the world’s coal, and has by far the largest amount of proposed coal capacity, with nearly 97 gigawatts under construction and another 163 gigawatts in planning – on top of China’s existing 1,100 gigawatts*.

*A gigawatt is 1,000,000,000 watts. That is enough power for for 34,000 average American homes for 1 day.
