I replaced that part of the dash. Yes, the blanks do pop out. It is easy to push them out from behind but you can get them out from the front by compressing the plastic clips on the top and bottom of the blank. It is a short height so I can't believe that is yours, if it took a photo that you could customize I would choose to photograph it from on high so it looks like it is driving in the 3D scape and not going down a hole.
