Another must have for camping
(if you have a dog)

Check out http://dogfriendly.com/ . They have some great books that will help find camping/hiking/RV parks that are dog friendly. They also show the dog regulations in many federal, state and local campgrounds.

This one looks good!

This one looks good!

I ordered California and the West Dog Travel Guide, 790 pages of small type with almost every city and park listed. It will be invaluable in planning our summer trip to Glacier National Park.

They somehow cover every state at DogFriendly.com with lots of information you will find helpful. Books are reasonable, ship very quickly and there is online information also.

New member of the family

Monday, October 6th, 2008

A month ago we adopted a new member of the family, Presley. We got him from the Northern California Border Collie Rescue. Presley will be joining us in our excellent adventures we have in the Sprinter.

We start some basic school next week. Presley has issues with small children and other dogs. In his previous home, the children were not well supervised and Presley suffered as a result. He also did not know what grass was, does not play with any dog toys and would only go potty on concrete.

One reason we got him is to add some adventure to the life of our two spoiled cats, BammBamm and Pebbles. Presley has already accomplished that! Smart dog, Presley.

We know Presley will change the way we camp. Actually I was surprised by that . . . as a non-dog owner I payed little attention to pet signs, rules, etc. Now, suddenly I am seeing them everywhere!
