The bottom on is used for her things normally taken to the shower. The top one is used to store tools and parts we may need on the road.

We have a smaller compartment under the seat than many because I changed the riser out for a shorter one. (See this post.)

We carry 2 quarts of Mobil 1 ESP Formula M 5w-40. We had to use both of them once when a dealer did not put enough oil in the bus during the 10k service.

We also carry 3 chem lights for emergencies. I used to carry flares but I think these are safer.

An extra oil and fuel filter with clamps for the fuel filter and an extra plug for the oil pan plus a serpentine belt make up the rest of the parts.

Tools we carry are wrenches and sockets and tork tools plus a oil filter wrench and a box of fuses and electrical wire and a simple circuit tester. Also a couple of screwdrivers, crescent wrench and pliers. The 3/8″ socket with a 19mm socket is for use on the tire lugs nuts. There is also a small tire plug kit we added for the Alaska adventure.

We’ll be adding the fuel filter change today.

BTW, I paid $5.19 per gallon for diesel in Pleasanton, California, yesterday. The news still talks about $4 gasoline. That’s fine but not everyone uses regular. The truth is the bleeding is getting worse – I’m going to have to go from a band aid to a tourniquet.
