Trusting the experts
Friday, November 21st, 2008Why should we? There are no experts out there. There may be some lucky folks, some crooks, or maybe aliens but no experts.
The analyst, Brad Reback, wrote to investors that based on conservative earnings projections for the coming calendar year, Microsoft’s stock could jump as much as $4 from its $17.53 closing price Thursday.
In the worst case scenario, Reback said, shares could fall by $1.
Hmmmm, that’s a pretty big spread Brad. Glad you aren’t calling in artillery for the troops.
Our former adviser, stockbroker, idiot - many other terms also apply, cost us a lot with his advice. I hope all his money is still in stocks.
Don’t sell he said in September. Just ride it out.
Chamberlain in the past (for those who remember WWII); Paulson, Bernanke, in the present and it looks like with the new President, the same old gang is being gathered - they were all there watching as the economy failed.
With experts like these we don’t need any enemies and can’t afford any friends.
